NCC is one of the most important organization that trains students to be disciplined, obedient, helpful and most importantly teaches them to contribute towards nation building. NCC started in the School on 1 Aug, 2002. 50 cadets enrolled under the unit named, I J&K ARMD SQN. After 8 years of hard work the unit has been renamed 2nd J&K BOYS BN, Jammu.

TRAINING PROGRAMME: 50 Cadets from classes 8th and 9th are recruited for a basic training programme for 2 years. The young students are given general information about NCC, weapon training, map reading. They learn about self defence, social service, map reading. Through NCC the young minds develop leadership qualities and also acquire feelings of national integration.

 

SHINING STARS AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE NCC SQUAD:


• 2005 – Master Rohit was awarded the best cadet in Marching at CATC, Nagrota.

• 2006 – Sanjeev Charak bagged the best shooter prize at CATC, Nagrota.

• 2007 – Cadet Sahil Malhotra was selected for Republic Day Parade at New Delhi.

• 2008 – Anmol Singh was judged the best shooter. This competition was held at Saheli Firing Range Jammu Cantt.

• 2009 – At CATC, 10 cadets got first prize in Tug of War. This camp was organized in the month of September. In the second CATC, 9 cadets got second position in Drill. This camp was organized from 8th October to 17th October 2009.

• 2009-2010 – ALL INDIA TREKKING OCEAN TO SKY was organized in Karnatka and Goa. The following students took part in this camp:- a) Saransh Behl b) Siddhant Kotwala c) Deepak Bharti d) Vishal Choudhary

• 2010 – REPUBLIC DAY PARADE at JAMMU. 4 students were selected for this Parade. The cadets were: a) Vishal Choudhary b) Sahil c) Abhishek Jamwal d) Harpreet Singh.
